Calendar - Triumph Club of the Carolinas

It is that time of year when we get our old cars out for a drive in the Winter. We have to hope and pray for good weather this year! Linda and I went out this morning and mapped out what looks like a fun drive. We are going to try for a stop over at Fairtrade beverage again, it looks like a fun stop. And the Starlight Meadery has moved to the same location so there will be plenty to see. I have setup a tour with Fairtrade around 3:30.

Terry sent out the meeting location in an earlier email, I will send out more details soon, have to type them up still, but let’s shoot to start meeting at 2 next Saturday and get going by 2:30. The drive to Fairtrade is about 40 miles and takes about one hour.

After the tour we will drive back to our house for chili and fun.

And as always, the chili will be served rain or shine, the drive is optional in bad weather. If you cannot do the drive or the weather gets in the way, be at our house 5 to 5:30, that is when we try to get back from the drive as well.

More to come, I will give details on the drive for folks that are new to the club in the next email.

March TCOC Charlotte Region Tech Session/Meeting @ Elite Vehicle Restorations

Join us for a Tech Session at EVR Restorations in Denver, NC on March 30 beginning at 9:30 a.m. with coffee and donuts provided by EVR. Seth Lehman, owner of EVR, has agreed to host TCOC at his shop to get our cars up on the lift for an inspection to determine work that may need doing prior to The Gathering. A brief demonstration of lubricating and fluid topping will be included. All regions are invited, of course.

Session will be followed by a drive to Blowing Rock for lunch on a separate invitation, in case you are only able to join us for one event, weather permitting.

Eastern region TCOC dinner meeting @ Aviator Brewing Tap House and Grill

The meeting will be held at the taphouse. Depending on weather we will have space reserved inside or they also have outdoor seating. The brewery is also willing to reserve parking for us to bring our triumphs as the traffic can be rather busy at that time of day.

Spring country Drive via back roads from Mt. Holly/Huntersville/Lincolnton area to Valdese, led by George Lafave. Please meet up at the Chick-fil-A just off NC16 and Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd around 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. departure. A leisurely back road drive to enjoy the scenery, finishing up at Myra’s Diner in Valdese (see separate meeting notice). Gentle reminder for Saturday Meeting of TCOC Charlotte at Muddy River Distillery. Lunch notice to follow

Please join us for a tour of Muddy River Distillery in Belmont as our February TCOC Charlotte Meeting. Arrive a little early so we can start the tour at 11:30am.

At 1:00pm we will drive a few blocks to have lunch at Rivermen Brewery Company in Belmont, NC. Join us for tour and lunch or whatever fits in your schedule.

After our Muddy River Distillery Tour, please join us for lunch at Rivermen Brewing Company, just around the bend in Belmont. RSVP’s are welcome. I just confirmed our party of 20-40, but will reconfirm when we are at Muddy River.
