This is a route my motorcycle friend, BMW John, and I take to the Pik-n-Pig at the Carthage airport.

-Rt 64 to Pittsboro, around the Court House and south out of town on 15-501 to the first red light.
-Right turn go about 1/2 mile to Rt 902 turn left.
-Go straight when Rt 902 makes a 90 degree rt turn all the way into Goldston, about 12 miles.
-Left turn at the T intersection in Goldston, go about 1/2 mile, turn at first right, go across the RR tracks. Go about 1/4 mile make a left turn on Goldston/Carbonton Rd ( fire dept should be on your right about 200 yards ).
– Stay on this road, cross Rt 42 and then pass The House in the Horseshoe on the right. ( This is an interesting Revolutionary War house with public bathrooms.) Keep going to the red light on the outskirts of Carthage, about 14-15 miles out of Goldston.
-Right turn on Main Street, go into Carthage and around the Court House 270 degrees heading south out of town. Go about 1 1/2 miles to the airport on the right.

Doug Higgins & Central Carolina British Auto Society will host the Fall version of this free and wonderful event. Please see the flyer in the Triumph Tribune. Bring a dish to share and chairs and enjoy a mellow day overlooking the pond

Weather may cause the event date to shift

Several Charlotte members have requested a caravan up NC49, so let’s plan on meeting around 9:00am at the Hardee’s in University City. Plan to have a full tank of petrol for an approximate 9:15 am departure, arriving around 10:30am to 2732 Bescher Chapel Road, Denton, NC 27239.

Even if you prefer to drive up sans caravan, I hope to see you there for a pleasant day. Weather may cause the event date to shift, so the caravan could also change.
