Terry Telke, Wolfgang Hustedt, and I have arranged to have a Tech/Teaching session on auto body work and painting for June 1, 2019 at 9:30am at Luis Borrayo’s shop in Siler City. This invitation is for the entire TCOC and anyone else interested. This should be a very interesting and educational session. Wolfgang has provided two TR3 doors and two TR3 fenders needing various stages of repair. Luis will show the group how to do body work, including metal cutting, patch panel weld in, body filler mixing and application, and primer painting. Luis has many years of experience with auto body work. He will explain and answer questions as he demonstrates the work. Face masks will be provided for use during the painting session.

Pizza lunch will be served at the shop. Luis has tables and chairs that can be used for lunch.

Luis’s shop is Universal Auto Body Repair & Paint located at 434 N. Chatham Ave in Siler City, NC, 27344. There is plenty of parking on the grassy lot across the road from the shop. Siler City is a very convenient drive from Raleigh/Durham, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and not too far from Charlotte.

Please RSVP to this email if you plan to attend so that we can ensure that we have enough food for lunch and enough face masks for everyone. Thank you!

p.s. I plan to bring my welding helmet so I can watch some welding.
