The Eastern Region is organizing a fun Triumph drive over to Butner, NC on October 5, 2024. We will drive twisty back roads from Raleigh up to the Lord Granville Agricultural Harvest Show in Butner, NC. This is a really fun fair and includes several different “Hit and Miss” engines driving different mechanisms, as well as the many different old tractors and old trucks.  There is also on-site squeezed apple juice.

The event, which runs from 9AM-5PM on Saturday, also includes:

  • Family fun,
  • Food trucks,
  • Tractor games,
  • Hay rides,
  • Antique tractor show,
  • Live equipment demonstrations,
  • Kids tractor pull,
  • Cake baking contest,
  • Silent auction (bidding ends Saturday at 4PM), and
  • Mama’s Kitchen

We will meet at the south end of the Colonnade Parking lot at 8540 Colonnade Center Drive and start the drive onto Six Forks Road. We chose this location to meet because it has easy entrance off Six Forks with stop light control and a safe way to get onto Six Forks as a group via Anson Way with stoplight control all the way up Six Forks Road.

Directions to the Colonnade Center: From the I-540 Six Forks exit follow Six Forks to past Strickland Road and then turn left at the stoplight onto Colonnade Center Drive just as you pass the Chick Filet which is on the right side of Six Forks. As soon as you enter Colonnade Center Drive, take a quick right into the parking lot and drive to the far end where we will meet.

If you are coming up Six Forks from the south, you can turn right onto Anson Way for entrance to the Colonnade parking lot.

We will plan to park together near the Harvest Show. We found a good place several years ago to park as a group when we drove our Triumphs to the Harvest Show. That parking space was a short distance past the show grounds.

The weather forecast looks great for Saturday so I hope to see a good number joining the drive, Triumphs or otherwise.
