Compete for the coveted “Standard-Triumph Low-Oil Award” (the heck with that old “Claret Jug”) as we attempt to set the lowest score on Battle & Birdie’s “Luxe Putting” 10-hole Course. Alcohol and food are available!
It was a beautiful day to drive a little British car to breakfast!
Seven of us went to Eggs Up Grill for breakfast in Fuquay Varina and had a very nice time.
We will be back up in north Raleigh next month!
Ice cream in August is always great, especially when paired with Little British Cars!
The Eastern region restarted its semi-monthly breakfast meetups at Creedmoor Cafe.
The Eastern Region of the Triumph Club had their rescheduled dinner meeting on January 29th at Mellow Mushroom in Cary. We canceled the dinner from the previous week due to snow. A member map plotting showed Cary is one of the concentrations areas for the Eastern Region, as well as North Raleigh.
Twenty people attended the dinner, so we had a good crowd. It was nice to catch up with our members after the holidays. We even had a potential Triumph owner that sought us out for advice in his quest for obtaining a TR6.
The hosts at Mello Mushroom took good care of us so I’m sure we will return.
We have the annual Chili Ride coming up on February 8th curtesy of Jim & Linda Cain. Mark that on your

Several members of the Eastern region made their way over to the Virginia Beach Aviation and Car Show.
We had a great lunch at the Low and Smoke BBQ at Johnston County Airport.
The Eastern region had a group Triumph drive to Butner, NC for the Granville Harvest Show.

The 2nd Annual Concours d’ Elegance in Fearrington Village is shaping up as bigger and better than last year. They would like to have several more Triumphs in the Show. As of mid-August, they have one TR6 and would like to add one or two TR3s and one or two more TR6, etc.

They expect to have 30-40 cars with the majority being vintage sport cars; Triumphs, Austin Healeys. MGs, Morgans, Porsches , Ferraris, etc. There will be at least one Model A, perhaps two, and a 1940 Ford Coupe.
There will be music, drinks, and The Goat restaurant is steps away from the Show grounds. Likewise, there are men and women’s shops, interior design and gift shop and a bookstore, all adjacent to the Show.

National Night Out is on August 4th Tuesday, October 6, setup starts at 4:00, events start at 5:30 pm. Eastern Region National Night Out, 5516 Merion Station, Apex. Merion HOA Clubhouse Pool. Food and drinks provided.
It has been strongly rumored that ELVIS may show up!

Note: We are rescheduling to the national NNO’s alternative date on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, 5:30-7:30 pm. The weather is predicting heavy rain and lightning. We cannot ask the Homeowners, TCOC, other participants, or entertainers to come out in unsafe weather conditions.
