Regional Holiday Parties

Below are photos from a couple of our regions that submitted updates from their holiday parties last month!

The Club-Wide Christmas Party/General Membership Meeting was held on Saturday, December 14 in Concord at The Auto Barn with the Charlotte Region playing host. We had a nice turnout with 51 members attending and there was a good cross section of folks from all three Regions.

The Smoke Pit catered the event and everyone raved about the meal and especially the baked beans. The Charlotte Region members provided an incredible spread of desserts. The conversation was lively and folks were in the spirit of the season.

This event is not just a holiday get together as it also serves as our club’s Annual Membership Meeting and we conducted some required club business.

The first item was the elections of Officers for 2025. Most of our club-wide officers volunteered to serve another year, and the only new officers elected are Danny and Jennifer Walker who will be Charlotte Region VPs, John Paul Middlesworth who is back in the saddle as the Newsletter Editor and David Carr who will be our Webmaster. I want to say how deeply I appreciate the time and dedication of all the Officers.

We also recognized several members with our annual awards.

Various other business items were discussed, especially plans for The Gathering 2025. The dates are April 11, 12, 13, 2025 and our featured marque is the TR4/4A.

We wrapped up the Party with the ever-popular White Elephant Gift Exchange. It was a great time and some folks went home with a real treasure and unfortunately others with a dud. Sadly, someone actually ended up with a coffee mug full of coal!

The Charlotte Region closed out the year with our region’s Christmas/Holiday party at my home on December 7th with about 20 folks attending from our region. It was fantastic to see some new faces to the club join in the festivities and meet other Charlotte Region members. My wife Jennifer and I really enjoyed sharing and having the party at our home, which was decorated with the Christmas and holiday spirit. Here are a few photos from the party that I would like to share as well.

Thank you to all who attended! We appreciate you all!

The Eastern Region had its Christmas/Holiday party on December 7th with about 30 folks attending from our region.

A happy time was had by all at the Eastern Region Holiday Party and appropriately chilly weather made a fire pit a welcome feature of the party.
