Charlotte Tech Session
There was a buzz in the air and the scent of motor oil and camaraderie as the Charlotte Region held its Spring Tech Session on Saturday, March 22nd. With the Salters graciously opening their garage—and their hearts—to the club, we were treated to a true gearhead’s paradise, complete with a full car lift that made oil changes, diagnostics, and general Triumph TLC an absolute breeze.
This wasn’t just another Saturday under the hood—it was a spirited tune-up for the season ahead, especially for those gearing up for The Gathering. A solid turnout of 20 members brought energy, stories, and of course, their beloved Triumphs. Three of our classics made it onto the lift for hands-on maintenance, drawing plenty of interest and shared wisdom from fellow enthusiasts.
We were especially thrilled to welcome a few first-timers to the Charlotte TCOC family events! Tim Green proudly rolled in with his Spitfire, Larry Johnson also brought out his 72 Spitfire, and Gene and Glenda Tricozzi made the trek all the way from Hilton Head, gracing us with their stunning TR3. Their presence added a wonderful mix of fresh faces and timeless machinery.
Adding even more charm to the day, several members of the MG Club dropped in to say hello on their way to one of their annual events—proof that the British car community is as connected as ever.
All in all, it was a roaring success filled with laughter, learning, and a shared passion for these incredible machines. A heartfelt thank-you goes out to Will and Jane Salter for their warm hospitality and for making their home the heartbeat of this unforgettable event.
